WHY AFTERSERVICE?

WHAT DOES AFTERSERVICE DO?

We reduce electronic waste by helping companies get the most out of their hardware. Our customers use our system to keep track of which devices are used by whom. Their employees can order, replace and repair devices themselves. By using that data well, we recommend choices that extend the life of a device instead of replacing it.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a developer at Afterservice you work on our platform: from coming up with new features to testing them and rolling them out to customers. Our system is written in Ruby on Rails, with AlpineJS for front-end interaction. We use TailwindCSS for styling, PostgreSQL as our database and Redis for background job processing. Newer work includes using data to make recommendations, machine learning for predictions, and building integrations with the systems our partners use. You work in a team of six, so help is close by while you still run your own projects.

WHAT WE ASK

• You can program. That can come from a degree, an internship, side projects or an earlier job.
• Experience with web development and Ruby is a plus, but not a requirement.
• You are willing to learn and ask for help in time.
• You enjoy thinking along about the platform.
• English is enough. You do not need to speak Dutch, part of the team is international.
• You already live in the Netherlands and are allowed to work here. We work from our office in Eindhoven, so this is not a remote role and we do not support relocation from abroad.

WHAT YOU GET

• A salary between € 2,800 and € 3,600 gross per month for a full time role, plus the 8% holiday allowance that is standard in the Netherlands.
• A commuting allowance: either a public transport card, or the maximum tax free mileage allowance if you come by car or bike. Whichever suits you best.

• A seven month or one year contract to start with, after which we move to a permanent contract quickly.
