Office Manager

Permanent Eindhoven 24-40 hours €2,600-3,200/mo

Ignition Computing and Afterservice share an office in Strijp-S (Eindhoven) and a team of around 16 people. Together we work on software for a more sustainable world. For customers at home and abroad, from extending the lifespan of computers to nuclear fusion research.

We have a good office and a close-knit team. But we're growing, and we want to run our internal organisation more professionally. That's why we're looking for an Office Manager to bring these tasks together and raise the standard.

What you'll do

Office and facilities

You make sure the office is a good place to work. For example, you keep track of supplies, keys and post, direct the cleaner, improve the kitchen and the lounge area where needed, and keep the office safe. In time, you'll also help look for a new office.

People

You make sure colleagues feel welcome and the team stays close-knit. Think scheduling interviews, onboarding new colleagues, organising birthdays, team outings and the Christmas drinks, and setting up work sessions that help the team develop further. You also keep the HR administration up to date and help keep the employee handbook current.

Keeping the overview

You make sure everything that needs to happen actually happens. Grants, safety, certifications and bookkeeping are handled in detail by others, but you guard the deadlines, schedule work sessions, remind people in time, gather documents and follow up until it's done.

Administration

You help keep the administrative side of the company in order. Think tracking time off, booking business travel, and organising contracts, folders, mailboxes and documents. You also help keep our online presence (LinkedIn, websites) current, arrange promotional material and contribute to the preparation of conferences.

Who we're looking for

Someone who enjoys organising things. Who keeps the overview while others are in the details. Who sees what needs to happen on their own and picks it up, without anyone having to ask. Specifically:

  • You work independently and in a structured way, and make sure colleagues don't forget anything.
  • You feel at home among technical people and have no trouble with software and online tools.
  • You speak and write good Dutch and English. Part of the team is international, so you use English every day.
  • An MBO+ level of working and thinking, or experience in office management, operations or office coordination.

What you get from us

  • A salary between €2,600 and €3,200 gross per month at full-time. Part-time from 24 hours is also possible.
  • Lunch with the team every day.
  • 25 holiday days, with the option of extra unpaid leave.
  • A lively workplace in the heart of Strijp-S, surrounded by other innovative companies.
  • A team that, alongside working hard, regularly does things together, from Friday afternoon drinks and games nights to potluck dinners.
  • Plenty of room to shape the role yourself in a fast-growing company. We know what needs to happen, but not exactly how. That's for you to figure out, and the role can grow with you.

Software Developer

Permanent Eindhoven €3,000-3,600/mo

Are you an enthusiastic web developer? Want to help make the IT sector more sustainable and grow with an up-and-coming scale-up?

Why Afterservice?

With us you get the chance to make a technical difference and be involved in every step of software development, in a small team with plenty of guidance. We're looking for someone who wants to think along with us about solutions for our customers and who wants to invest in their own knowledge. We offer an open working environment with lots of opportunities to learn and grow. For example towards product lead, integration specialist, and so on.

What does Afterservice do?

We reduce the mountain of IT waste by helping companies use hardware optimally. In our system, our customers can track which devices are used by whom. Their employees can order, replace and repair devices themselves, and more. We give recommendations for more sustainable choices by using data in a smart way.

Your responsibilities

As a developer at Afterservice you work on the development of our platform: from coming up with new features to testing and, finally, rolling them out to customers. Our system is written in Ruby on Rails, with AlpineJS for front-end interaction. We use TailwindCSS for styling, PostgreSQL as the database and Redis for background job processing. In terms of new developments, think smart use of data to make recommendations, ML tooling for predictions and integrating with partners' systems. You work in a team of 6 (you, Andrei, Alexandra, Niek, Daan and Mark), so you can get help when needed while still doing your own projects.

What we're looking for

  • Experience with software development (experience with web development & Ruby is a plus, but not required)
  • Willing to learn
  • You enjoy thinking along about the platform

What you get

  • A salary between €3,000 and €3,600 per month (plus 8% holiday allowance)
  • Free lunch at the office
  • A flexible holiday policy
  • The chance to grow with the company
  • The possibility of share options in the future
  • A lively and welcoming workplace at Strijp-S in Eindhoven

Software Development Intern

Internship (HBO / WO) Eindhoven Recognised training company

Looking for an internship where you really take part? Want to help make the IT sector more sustainable and learn in a professional development team?

Why Afterservice?

With us you get the chance to make a technical difference and be involved in every step of software development, in a small team with plenty of guidance. We offer an open working environment with lots of opportunities to learn. After your internship, there's the option to stay on as a developer.
